Dorset vs Somerset in the Inter County U18’s 2 x Triples Mixed Competition

Despite the early start to get to Yeovil for 9:30, our Dorset players were excited to get out on the green and showcase their abilities.

The Dorset teams consisted of Liam, Catherine and Millie in one triple and Emma, Austin and Nathan in the other.

At the beginning of the match, Millie’s rink had a strong start and went ahead while Nathan’s rink stayed level. Both teams showing some excellent bowling. Throughout the match, on Millie’s rink, the skilled Somerset opposition pulled back and went slightly ahead.

Nathan’s rink played extremely well together and went well ahead, allowing Dorset to go ahead overall.

At the very end of the match, Nathan’s rink finished 10 ahead whilst Millie’s rink had two ends to go. On the very last end Somerset needed 5 for a draw, but the Dorset rink managed to hold them off.

Overall, Dorset won by 6 shots. Everyone played very well and are looking forward to next weeks match against Devon.
