About Us //
With the help of all the Outdoor clubs and some Indoor Clubs in Dorset, the Dorset Youth Bowls Academy was inaugurated in April 2019.
After learning the game at club level, those wishing to progress further and compete at a higher level can try out for the Dorset Youth Academy.
Many of our Academy players have been selected for U18 International trials and talent ID days in the hope that one day they may represent their Country!. One of our young players who started playing bowls at the ripe old age of 8 is now representing ENGLAND 🏴 on the international stage and many other of our Academy players are now playing for their club/county!
With more than 2,000 clubs across England, there’s bound to be one near to you. And bowls is a relatively cheap game compared to other sports, whether you choose to join a club or ‘pay and play’ at your local park.
