Academy v Dorset Resort

What a difference a year makes, 11 months to be exact. It was January 2024 when the DYBA last played against the Dorset Resort and the result was a resounding victory by 51-18 shots. Turn the calendar on 11 months to 15th Dec and what a turnaround. In a close match with the Dorset Resort leading by 12-11 after 5 ends across the 3 rinks and 25-21 after 10 ends it was obvious the result would be closer this time round. Over the remaining 5 ends the Academy youngsters played extremely well showing they had determination and skill to win 41-33. I’m sure the family and friends of the Academy bowlers were delighted how well the youngsters performed and the youngsters, as always, appreciated their support.  

The DYBA bowlers looked smart in their new shirts sponsored by The Dorset Patrons and a huge thanks to the members of the Dorset Resort for making this a very enjoyable and memorable afternoon.
