On 3rd April 2019 the Dorset Youth Bowls Academy was inaugurated. The aims of the Academy are to offer coaching and competitive opportunities through an academy based structure to all youth Indoor and Outdoor bowlers under the age of 18 years residing in Dorset. Also to help establish Junior Sections at other clubs throughout Dorset. Many youngsters from our Academy are now playing in the Sutton Winson Tournament held during the National Championships at Royal Leamington Spa. One of our young players was selected to attend an Under 18 Bowls England Training Weekend which he found very beneficial.

 

Bowling Clubs and members throughout the County have helped to raise funds to establish the Academy. We aim to develop our youngsters and hope to have some selected to play for England in the future.
